Tragic Tsunami Story — Good Ending

I must tell you about a story I saw on CNN. It seems a mother was clinging to her 2 boys, ages 4 and 7, when the force of the raging waters compelled her to release one of them to prevent them all from drowning. She let go of the older boy and somehow a man that was able to observe her plight was able to get to the 7 year old, floundering trying to keep from going under. Miraculously the Good Samaritan saved the boy who was in a hysterical state of shock but very much alive.

The mother’s guilt and the boy’s feeling of rejection will haunt the family for a lifetime, but at least the boy now has a life, for whatever it may be worth in the aftermath of the worst natural holocaust in memory.
