Highest Medal A Man Can Earn

No! Not the Congressional Medal of Honor or the Victoria Cross. So what award do all men honor and cherish above all others?
I will tell you… A father who says to his adult offspring, “Son, by your achievements in life, you have made me very proud.”
It’s a short sentence and not eloquent but charged with what we men crave… recognition.
Sadly, my own father died at a young age, but I still talk to his spirit now and then. Someday, when I join his world, I hope he will say the words that will bring me the medal I so longed for.
