An Original Poem —by David Saginor (my 16-year-old grandson)
***********Justice**********
Dare I dream of the poor victim who is nameless?
Dare I do the deed undone?
Dare I dream to free the blameless
And sing of justice’s song unsung?
See it now or see it never
As I watch the sun creep down.
Pull I upon emancipation’s lever
And tell the one who wears the crown?
Near it now I know I am.
Decisive and quick I know I must be.
Remove the pillars and break down the dam!
We have a date, righteousness and me.
