USA TODAY – Hover your mouse over a state to read stats.

By Harvey Tobkes
If Illinois (a state from which 4 governors went to jail) is not the worst of our 50 states when it comes to corruption, can you imagine the depths of malfeasance by the people who are running our government?

Of course, like all statistics, there is a huge flaw in what USA today is showing us. Things are much worse than the stats, because it is only showing us the percentage of convictions for fraud per 100,000 residents. How about all the fraud that was either ignored, unseen, unknown or undetected?

And in case you were wondering, North Dakota was actually rated the worst.
