IF ASKED… WOULD CANADA JOIN U.S.?

The United States already has asked Canada to join the US. There is also a standing offer that if Canada wants to join the US they would be automatically accepted. They haven’t taken us up on the offer yet so I don’t see them changing their minds any time soon. They would have to give up socialized medicine and their sense of national idenity to do so.
