Pope John Paul II

Pope

“A good man died yesterday.” Simple words, but a high accolade for a man we hold in our minds as the true embodiment of not a Pope but The Pope. Loved by Catholics and by people of all faiths, his stature transcended and dwarfed other worldly figures; in Catholicism he was the earthling closest to God and in his life he lived up to that ideal.

He suffered pain and adversity, yet his passion for his flock never waned, and he performed as the Good Shepherd. He travelled the world to bring us a message of peace.

Please imagine these events happening to you and then think if you could have walked in his shoes.
