HERE’S HY —
Hyman ”Hy” Pinsky lives by the following credo: “I don’t feel I’m an old person. I just feel I have lived a long time. It’s never too late to get started into some kind of exercise. You will feel better and live longer. That’s why I’m still going.”
Pinsky jokes that his two grown kids are puzzled that he’s still so active, but he’s collecting trophies for his efforts and keeping in great spirits, so why not?
His shining moment? He says breaking the National Senior Olympics 10K time-trial record for cycling in Virginia in 2003 in the 80-and-over age group.
”I do have aches and pains like every one my age but once I get on my bicycle nothing hurts any more.’
