BUSH IS RIGHT FOR A CHANGE

By Harvey Tobkes

In a speech to the Knesset on the occasion of Israel’s 60th birthday, Bush said you cannot negotiate with terrorists. I agree, after all, people who have not changed in their 1500 year history of calling non-believers, “infidels,” are not likely to alter their mind sets tomorrow. Islam’s religious code allows them to make a solemn promise and not be accountable morally or otherwise, if the promise was made to an infidel.

Remember, Neville Chamberlain went home to England with a document of peace signed by Adolf Hitler, while Nazi tanks rolled into Poland. So, what’s wrong with what Bush’s statement? It may be the most intelligent thing he has said in eight years. Democrats are shouting foul, claiming this was aimed at Obama. They are paranoid!

Fox News apparently disagrees with me.
