FIFTY YEARS FROM NOW

The Muslims gain strength by knowing that they are increasing their numbers rapidly. They now number 1.6 billion and they have a high fertility rate, birthing more children annually than any other group. I cannot imagine the percentage of world population they will eventually hold. All other birthrates are declining, and they inexorably advance in number.

Muammar al-Gaddafi, ruler of Lybia has stated that Muslim’s need not do anything aggressively to establish their superiority, because time is on their side, and passively they will ultimately rule the world.

However, I disagree. Limited by centuries old religious restrictions and living in the past is not the path to be a dominant force.

Although China and India are both emerging from a long slumber they have not fully awakened and they still have a huge percentage of populous that is poor, uneducated and non-contributory to advances in civilization compared to the U.S., Germany, Israel, France, Italy etc.

Fifty years, is a short span in the history of the world and most of us will not be here to witness the changes, but it is interesting to speculate.
