THE NEW APPLE WATCH

Just watch the watch. Hey that reminds me of an old joke my dad used to tell, here’s the short version…

There was a hypnotist whose reputation was known worldwide. Finally, promoters booked him into Madison Square Garden, and they boasted he would hypnotize the entire audience. There were many doubters, but nevertheless on the night of the big event the place was packed.

He came on stage, took an antique gold watch on a thin chain from his vest pocket and told everyone to please relax and promised in a few moments they would all be under his hypnotic spell. The lights went out except for the spotlight on him. Then he raised the pocket watch to eye level and gently made it swing back and forth, and in a captivating voice he said, “Ladies and Gentlemen, watch the watch.” Back and forth, back and forth…watch the watch!

He had most of the audience half-asleep in no time, when inadvertently the swinging watch bumped the microphone and the upset hypnotist in anger cried out…Shit!

It took a week to clean up Madison Square Garden.
