————————wacrobats————–

Acrobats Jarley Smith, Jewell Waddek, and Jimmy Kerrigan perform a balancing act on the edge of the Empire State Building in Manhattan on August 21, 1934. At the time, the Empire State Building was considered the tallest building in New York. It is 102 stories and 1,250 fee high. The building went up in a little over a year, at $40 million. It was ahead of schedule. The building housed a sense of pride that New York took proudly, especially during the time of the Great Depression.
