Here’s how society should solve the perplexing problem of disappearing chemistry between married couples, which often results in a painful divorce:

On a national basis we should declare that the marriage license (just like our some of our Drivers Licenses) is a 4 year contract and may be renewable only if requested by the driver...er correct that to only if requested by both spouses, and cancellable on a points basis for infractions by either party.
Men, can you imagine how good the women would treat us when the license is coming up for renewal?

Ladies, imagine him wanting to make sure you ask for a renewal. Oh my goodness! Flowers every day… he might even help with the laundry and the dishes.

So, there can be benefits for all…for those pushing for renewal, and those happy to let it lapse.
