AP: Biggest baby ever born at Jackson Memorial Hospital Hospital. Oh what a baby! Marie Michel’s fifth child was one for the record books. Michel gave birth to a 14-pound, 13-ounce boy Tuesday at 9:30 AM.

Hospital officials at JMH in Miami said the newborn, Stephen Hendrix, broke the 18-year record for the biggest baby ever born at the hospital by 1 pound, 13 ounces. He was nearly 23 inches long.

“He’s built like a linebacker,” said Dr. David Kalla, who delivered the baby by Caesarean section.

After nine months of carrying Stephen, 36-year-old Michel said she was more tired and happy to have given birth than all the attention her baby was receiving.
