TWENTY YEARS AGO
By Harvey Tobkes
I hope you were able to watch the ceremonies of our country’s worst tragedy in modern times. Fox News started the morning with about a half-hour of the planes hijacked by terrorists, striking the buildings, the collapse, people in terror running for their lives, the dust clouds that rose from the 2 fallen Trade Towers, and Lower Manhattan looked like it was hit by an atomic bomb. All heart rending, and my hope is the remembrance can help to unite us, as we have been seeing too much division and fractionalized groups pulling in different directions.
It’s a thought, but the reality is…like funerals and other sad events, tomorrow it will be behind us and we will continue our daily lives just as we were before the tragedy struck.
