Just in case someone pops into the room while you are staring at something inappropriate, confidential, private or XXX on your computer screen, here’s an emergency bail out that could save your ass, your job, your marriage or even your life.

You can hide all windows, revealing only what’s on the computer desktop, with one keystroke: hit the Windows key and the “d” key simultaneously. Press the same 2 keys again to return to what you were doing.

If you own a Mac, simply press F11 (on recent Mac laptops, Command+F3; Command is the key with the cloverleaf logo).
