ALLIGATOR LOVES BAGELS ~ YA GOTTA WONDER IF HE EATS GEFILTE FISH TOO

Sixty-seven-year-old Paul Fortin was arrested on charges of refusing a citation for the illegal feeding and for resisting arrest. Fortin, who is also a disabled veteran, had posted a video on his Facebook account of him feeding a 10-foot alligator behind his house in Daytona Beach that he had named Marvin. Fortin is seen calling the alligator, who swims slowly to the edge of the lake where Fortin waits. Fortin is then seen in the video petting Marvin on the snout and talks about him as though he is a pet. Apparently, this has been an ongoing occurrence for about three years now.

Fortin’s neighbor allegedly tipped off the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission. Feeding wildlife is against the law in Florida. When officers tried to issue Fortin a citation for feeding the alligator, he refused to sign it.

Fortin responded to the charges by saying, “Marvin, I mean, what can I do? He just sits there, and he loves bagels…I don’t know, I have been thinking of maybe adding and a little cream cheese and lox to Marvin’s next bagel.”
