MY GRANDMA LOVED THIS SONG

Most immigrants that came to America, especially those from Eastern Europe and Ireland, back in the late 1800’s and early 1900’s, retained some heartfelt pleasant memories of the land they left, much like the Cubans that came here to escape Fidel’s regime.

In this melody the words reflect on reminiscences of growing up in a small village called Belz.
