I was sixteen when Dr.Elliot Hechtman,
whose office was on the Grand Concourse
just past Tremont Temple (site of my Bar Mitzvah),
introduced me to novacaine (no longer used).
No longer did I have to raise my hand to indicate pain.
My hand was pretty much raised throughout the
session!
1958 was a banner year for dentistry…for me at least.
What memories!
